Parameter Group

When a Parameter Group is selected in the parameters list, the following user interface is displayed:

The Reveal contents when options lets you decide when the contents of the parameter group will be disclosed (visible):

  • The parameter is first created option controls whether the group contents are visible when the parameter is first displayed to the user
  • The parameter becomes visible option controls whether the group contents are revealed when the parameter becomes visible through the Dynamic UI settings.
  • The parameter becomes enabled option controls whether the group contents are revealed when the parameter is enabled through the Dynamic UI settings.

Please note that the last two options may not always work, since support for Dynamic UI varies from one host to the next, and from one version to the following one.

In versions of Final Cut Pro prior to 6.0.2, any parameters you nest under a parameter group will be displayed in the parameter inspector alongside the existing parameters that do not belong to that group. In some cases, the parameter group's name will be displayed in bold, above the parameters.

Starting with version 6.0.2, Final Cut Pro supports collapsible parameter groups, and the default state of this parameter is respected.
